Photographer:  Braeme Holland

Title:  Catch of the day

Location:  Intaka Island: Cape Town

Date: 12 March 2016

Description:  Both myself and this purple heron were obviously playing the waiting game. I was waiting for him to pounce and catch his breakfast while he didn’t seem to be in a hurry at all to do so.I was still determined to get the shot and was prepared to wait. I guess the photographer needs to be just as patient as the heron in order to get the perfect catch. Eventually i think we both got what we wanted!

Name:  Purple Heron

Camera:  Canon 7dmk2

Lens: Canon 300mmf4is
