Photo of the week – Don’t underestimate me…

Posted on Fri November 27, 2015.

Because we know that this cheetah has recently lost her mother, we may be forgiven for interpreting these thoughts from her facial expression…  Her tenacity will surely be her saving grace, even though she is more vulnerable these days than she used to be.  In the wilderness, every day is a battle for survival – a sure case of “no guts, no glory”.

It seems we need not worry about this brave cheetah however, as she is faring quite well!

The image was captured by Manus van Dyk on one of their recent photographic courses at Indlovu River Lodge.  For more info on similar courses, you can contact Louisa at Indlovu:  +27 (0) 15 383 9918 or [email protected]
